ABOUT US

aaizél (pronounced eye-zel)

Founded in 2016, aaizél was born from a desire to elevate everyday essentials for the progressive woman with a poetic spirit.

Guided by a commitment to timelessness over trend, each piece is designed with longevity in both quality and style, garments that transcend seasons and hold their relevance over time.

With a focus on structured silhouettes, undone styling, and a distinctly contemporary edge, the aaizél woman is both grounded and free-thinking, nomadic in curiosity, yet rooted in form.

From the beginning, sustainability has been at the core of our practice. We are committed to minimising waste at every stage of production, continuously learning and evolving our processes. Over 70% of our pieces are crafted from repurposed fabrics, and we proudly support local artisans and manufacturers throughout our supply chain.

SUSTAINABILITY ETHOS

With each new collection, aaizél designs with intention - aligning our practices with social and environmental responsibility, whether through thoughtful sourcing, mindful production, or inspiring conscious care for a better world.

Locally Made

Choosing to manufacture all our clothing pieces in Melbourne, Australia reflects aaizél’s commitment to care, precision, and integrity in every garment. By supporting local makers, we invest in our community and contribute to a broader vision of meaningful, responsible creation.

Reducing Waste

Fabric plays a vital role in reducing waste and from the beginning, over 70% of our collections have been crafted using repurposed fabrics. By sourcing deadstock and working closely with textile agencies, we carefully select finely edited fabrics originally produced for high-end luxury brands.

Through precise pattern marking and mindful cutting, we maximise efficiency and minimise excess. Repurposing not only diverts textiles from landfill, but also conserves the energy required to produce new materials, reducing our environmental footprint with every piece created.

Craft and Community

By partnering closely with small, family-run workshops and businesses, aaizél upholds the principles of fair trade and ethical local production. We proudly support artisanal craftsmanship including working with Melbourne’s last remaining hand pleater to preserve skill, tradition, and integrity in every detail.

Although we’re a small business, we’re committed to making meaningful change where we can. Through our partnership with Dollar Donation Club, a portion of proceeds from every aaizél purchase helps prevent plastic pollution from entering our oceans.
